In addition will also support the Component Engineering CORE Team tools, processes, & product standards as well as enterprise initiatives.This position requires experience in leading teams, working with program office functions, collaborate with subcontractors & suppliers, parts management, component engineering, failure analysis, electrical M&P, and radiation effects (natural & weapon environments) on electrical, electronic, & electro-mechanical (EEE) parts used in space, man-space, military, NASA, and commercial aircraft applications.The candidate is required to have knowledge in Industry, Automotive, Military, and NASA standards for the screening & qualification of EEE parts, plastic encapsulated microcircuits/devices (PEMs & PEDs), and interconnect parts selected for avionics, military and space applications. In addition, knowledge in the failure mechanisms of EEE parts and experience in failure analysis, construction analysis, environmental (Including radiation effects) and electrical test evaluations of EEE parts is also required.Position Responsibilities:Lead teams & chair a parts, materials, & process control board (PMPCB)

Project management of parts, materials, and process (PM&P) tasks & budgets

Develop & maintain PM&P plans, EEE parts plans, parts obsolescence mitigation plans, counterfeit mitigation plans, and lead-free mitigation plans for EEE parts and electrical materials & processes (M&P)

Support the electrical design engineer in the part selection process in ensure proper application and compliance to the PM&P plan

Develop & maintain EEE part specifications and source control drawings including RLAT plans

Review & approve screening data, qualification conformance inspection (QCI) reports, and destruct physical analysis (DPA) reports

Develop & maintain non-standard part approval requests (NSPAR)

Develop or obtain from the manufacturer fit rates or quality factors for COT parts for the reliability engineers

Coordinate with component engineering subject matter experts (SMEs) in the development & qualification of complex EEE parts

Provide subcontractor oversight compliance in review and approval of PM&P plans, radiation verification reports, as-design part lists, NSPARs, part specifications, qualification plans, & part derating reports

Perform GIDEP reviews, part obsolescence assessment & resolution, & part counterfeit mitigation assessments

Manage part failure resolution and coordinate with electrical failure analysis lab to determine root cause of failure & corrective action

Support design reviews & equipment buy-off (FCA/PCA)

Supporting proposal teams, supplier management, product operations, and quality teams

T his position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. On-site work will be at a minimum of 2-3 days per week.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

5+ years of experience with parts management and/or component engineering

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering

Active U.S. Secret clearance

Experience leading teams

Experience collaborating with subcontractors & suppliers

Experience with failure analysis, electrical M&P, and radiation effects (natural & weapon environments) on electrical, electronic, & electro-mechanical (EEE) parts used in space

Experience with man-space, military, NASA, and commercial aircraft applications

Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
