About the Program

Bell Cove was built in 2013 and specifically designed as a 5-bed, licensed Residential Treatment Home located in scenic Brookings, Oregon. Bell Cove is PSRB-designated program serving individuals who are affected by a mental illness and have exceptional medical care needs.

Position Details

We have a Part-Time opening for the Personal Care Associate position at our Bell Cove program in Brookings, Oregon. If you have experience working as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Residential Assistant (RA), Residential Counselor, Skills Trainer, or Caregiving, then this position might be a good fit for you.

Work Schedule: Tuesday – Friday, 11:00pm-7:00am (NOC)

This position requires that applicants have the ability to work as a member of a direct care team serving adults with severe and persistent mental illness; to support the development of life skills and therapeutic interventions; perform housekeeping and meal preparation; medication administration; and keep accurate clinical documentation. In addition, you will receive crisis de-escalation training, which requires performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques.

Caregiving and/or mental health experience (personal or professional) is preferred

Dedication to the wellbeing of each client and helping them meet their activities of daily living (ADL)

Be attentive and engaging with clients both in the community and within program

Orient, train, and supervise residents to perform properly, safely, and independently within the guidelines of the Personal Care Plan

Successful applicants MUST also have a valid Oregon driver’s license, maintain a safe driving record, and the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.

Pay & Benefits

Starting at $14.00 per hour/DOE. An additional $1.50 per hour graveyard shift differential will apply during the work hours of 10:00pm - 6:00am. ColumbiaCare offers a comprehensive benefits package for part-time employees. Medical/Dental/Vision coverage for employees working 30 hours a week. All Part-Time/On-Call hourly employees receive time and a half when working a holiday and are eligible to receive up to 5 days of sick time and up to 12 days of vacation per year (accruals earned are based on hours worked).
