Evergreen Animal Clinic in Santa Maria is looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our amazing team! We are a busy 5 Doctor practice that prides itself on providing our community with excellent service and exceptional care. You must work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, be a self starter and have a great sense of humor!

This position requires previous experience in a veterinary medical setting. The ideal candidate will need to be experienced and efficient in the following skills:

Proper animal restraint

Obtaining a detailed medical history

Obtaining patient vitals

Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Be able to administer subcutaneous injections/fluids

Perform Nail Trims, Anal Gland expression

Experience in pharmacy & filling prescriptions

Be dependable and reliable

Be a team player

Experience with venipuncture, IV catheter placement and radiograph positioning is a PLUS but not necessary.
