NEW COLLEGE GRADE ROLE (entry level)We are seeking a highly motivated Graduate Defect Reduction Metrology Engineer to join our semiconductor team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving defect inspection and metrology processes to ensure the highest levels of product quality and yield. This role is crucial for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating defects during the MOCVD growth process. Key Responsibilities:Develop and optimize metrology recipes and inspection strategies for defect detection and classification including the development of an AI/ML based detection and classification engine.Analyze data from defect inspection and metrology tools (e.g., optical inspection, SEM, AFM) to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for process improvement.Track correlations between substrate defects and epitaxial defects to screen incoming substrate quality.Collaborate with process and development engineers to correlate defect trends and excursions with process changes or tool events.Maintain and troubleshoot metrology equipment, ensuring high uptime and accurate measurements.Generate reports and present findings to cross-functional teams and management.Drive continuous improvement and defect reduction initiatives.
