(Specifically Ignition Interlock Installation)

What is an ignition interlock?

An ignition interlock is a breathalyzer installed into a car that requires the operator to provide a breath sample before starting and while driving their vehicle. Typically the user has a DUI conviction and is mandated by the state to have the device for a predetermined period.

Summary:

Many clients will come in for monthly check-ins (referred to internally as a calibration) daily. You will disconnect their device and connect it to a computer. The software runs a diagnostic and downloads all the data that has been collected. You then work with the client and agree on a date for the next calibration. Once finished you reconnect the device and client goes on their way. When installing a new device you will perform the installation on the vehicle (training provided) and then explain to the client how the device works. Some paperwork has to be signed by the client and you provide paperwork to them if they require it.

Daily Tasks:

Greet customers and perform routine (automated via computer interface) calibrations and schedule a follow up appointment.

Wire devices into new customer's vehicles and provide training on how to use the device. (Very simple)

Occasionally troubleshoot a malfunctioning device and provide replacement. (Training/Assistance provided)

Maintain the appearance lobby/front desk

Provide a positive experience to our customers. Be patient and thorough while training or answering questions and maintain notes of relevant interactions in the provided software. On occasion driving to a client may be required.
