Clay Mix is Seeking a Part-time Employee

Clay Mix is a ceramic art gallery/studio/supply store in Fresno. Customer service and customer satisfaction are the primary goals of Clay Mix. We are looking for a new staff member who like to help customers (artists, teachers, students and hobbyists) and wish to continue learning about ceramic art.

Position Overview:

Through in-depth product knowledge and excellent customer service, the person in this position will provide customers with a satisfying experience. This position will be part-time (approx.20 hours per week) and this employee must be able to work some Saturdays.

Job Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

Provide customers with accurate product information

Assist customers in the selection and purchase of merchandise

Make merchandise recommendations to meet customer's needs

Clean and maintain studio space and retail space in good condition

Assist delivery of products and equipment

Perform all cashier duties

Assist with shipping and receiving merchandise

Responsible for restocking merchandise

Opening/closing the store

Other duties as required

Job Requirements (including, but not limited to):

Hold a Bachelor’s Degree

Interest in ceramic art

Experience with electronic cash registers

Previous sales experience

Excellent customer service skills

Ability to pack and unpack merchandise

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis

Must be a quick learner and able to take initiative

A friendly, out-going individual who can work well with a variety of social economics and cultural backgrounds
