Summary: Performs resident care tasks.

Qualifications: Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. Must possess current California Nursing Assistant Certification. Must be able to meet all physical and mental requirements of the position.

Candidates specialized to work with COVID cliental will receive additional COVID pay.

Education: No specific requirement other than C.N.A. Certification

Licenses/Certifications: California Certified Nursing Assistant

Experience Required: Prefer 6 months experience as a C.N.A. in a Skilled Nursing Facility, will consider those without experience that meet all other requirements.

Full-Time and Part-Time Available

Essential Functions:

Provides for resident’s personal hygiene, gives bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, shaves, nail care, oral care, assists with showers.

Provides for activities of daily livings, assists with meals, feeds residents, ambulates, turns, positions residents, provides for fresh water and nourishments between meals.

Tracks I&O, checks vital signs and weights, collects specimens and provides post-mortem care.

Provides comfort needs of residents.

Works effectively as a team member in the delivery of care and assists in the orientation of new employees.

Utilizes resources and materials in an efficient and safe manner.

Maintains a safe and attractive environment for residents and co-workers, transports residents and equipment as needed.

Promptly answers resident call lights and assists/provides care as requested and needed.

Reports observations of residents to charge nurses to ensure professional assessment.

Maintains a neat and clean appearance while performing duties in a competent, compassionate and caring manner.

Is punctual, dependable and maintains excellent attendance.

Maintains good working relations with all departments through appropriate communication

Respect of co-workers.

Accepts reassignment as needed to provide necessary care for all residents.

Follows all policies, procedures and regulations governing the facility.

Maintains accurate and complete records of required documentation.

Attend all required In-service Training sessions

Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Ability to listen, take direction and work as a team member

Ability to communicate effectively with Supervisors, residents and family members.
