Plant Manager - Bilingual English/Spanish

The plant manager will be responsible to plan, manage and execute all phases of plant operations. This includes production, quality control, packing, maintenance, receiving and shipping. Including facility/physical plant up-keep and capital improvements. The plant manager must ensure the production schedule is executed in a timely manner and within all quality parameters. Strive to improve all facets of operations including production efficiency, workplace safety, environmental consciousness, reduction of product waste/shrink, food safety and cleanliness, using training and appropriate metrics to track progress. Oversee workplace safety and food safety policies and practices.

Directing supervisors and oversee 100+ employees in the facility. Manage all packing operations, quality control, personnel and maintenance.

Manage and Review Production data daily, and daily costs

Responsible for overall facility operation, function, and appearance.

Manage employees’ schedules and communicate daily with your supervisors

Ensure training of all employees and supervising employees for optimum effectiveness.

Follow up on any employee issues, enforce company rules, communicate policies and procedures to all employees and ensure they are understood and followed.

Provide positive leadership to build employee morale

Compile weekly inventory carton, packing counts and establish reorder points

Maintain the operation and upkeep of packing equipment and monitor and safeguard company assets (i.e. company vehicles, inventory, and equipment).

Direct the sanitation operations and the shop operations

Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect business operations.

OTHER DUTIES

Ability to work weekends

Must maintain flexible schedule

Must be able to handle job stress and interact well with others

Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS (PLEASE ADD REQUIRED EDUCATION) EX. BELOW

5+ years’ operational management experience

Experience in food production, food process or related field required

Excellent written and verbal English/Spanish language skills

Excellent organizational skills, including establishment of priorities and commitment to deadlines.

Good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, outlook is required. Experience with Famous software.
