Electrical Technician-Temp to Hire-San Diego, CAThis company located in San Diego, California is focused on the discovery of advanced materials for lithium-ion batteries. Using our state-of-the-art high throughput discovery workflows so we can synthesize and test over 1,000 electrode materials per week, each fully formulated and tested in actual cells. Job Description & Requirements

Wildcat is seeking an outstanding Electrical Technician to join our team developing cutting edge high throughput automation used for the discovery of next generation batteries. This position will work closely with Wildcat scientists and engineers on all aspects of the discovery process. As an early-stage hire, the successful candidate(s) will play a significant role in the company. The position is ideally suited to those with five or more years of experience.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Manufacture, assemble, and maintain new test equipment.
  • Develop procedures to debug and maintain automated lab equipment.
  • Manage ordering and inventory of parts for project builds.
  • Electrical assembly and soldering for various types of projects.
Requirements include:
  • A degree in electronics or equivalent experience.
  • Experience developing complex electrical and electro-mechanical systems (including the integration of mechanical designs, electrical designs, control systems/software and motion controls).
  • Circuit board assembly and debug experience.
  • Experience creating control panels and system wiring.
  • Experience creating and editing electrical schematics.
  • Work independently implementing solutions and problem solving skills in an engineering environment.
  • Experience creating wiring schematics and fabricating basic wiring harnesses.
  • Strong interests, experience or hobbies related to computers, robotics, or parts fabrications would be desirable (RC boats or cars, motorcycles, cars, computers, machine shop skills, or any electrical design experience). This is a hands-on job.
