Roving Technician, ubreakifix

Posting Title: Retail Associate, Electronics Repair

What you will be doing:

The ubreakifix Roving Technician makes consumer electronic repair easy and convenient for our customers. Roving Technicians travel within a ubreakifix district to stores and fill in as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Travels to stores within the district to fill scheduling gaps as needed (LOAs, absences, high-traffic events, etc.)
  • Travel to locations within the district as advised by DM and maintain schedule flexibility
  • Within the store they are covering, they may be responsible for:
    • All repairs done in-house, including managing SLAs, bounce, and closing all active work orders
    • All back of house functions, including repairs, buybacks, RMAs, and inventory management (counts, parts ordering, etc.)
    • All front of house functions, including providing exceptional guest service, processing point of sale transactions, stocking, arranging, and pricing merchandise, and selling our whole home warranty to each guest
  • Bring sales experience to consistently sell the Connected Home product and Serve, Solve, and Sell on every customer interaction
  • Learn and apply the details of the Connected Home product, how to gain an understanding of the customer's technology, and how to offer and sell protection/tech support solutions to customers to meet their needs
  • Perform in your role and achieve your goals by performing in sales, providing excellent service and technical/repair support, and creating satisfied customers, in accordance with Asurion’s Core Values
  • Responsible for sharing best practices between stores to ensure consistent and efficient delivery of service and repairs
  • Sharing feedback with Store Leader and/or District Manager regarding process opportunities within the store
  • Travel daily to and from UBIF locations throughout a designated market
  • Drive own vehicle safely and responsibly to and from UBIF locations in a variety of situations including heavy traffic and inclement weather

  • This job operates in both a retail environment and involves traveling to and from stores within the district. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers/scanners. This role also requires the Roving Technician to operate professionally and effectively while traveling as a direct representation of the brand.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items that weigh more than 50 pounds.
  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Sunday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Employees must be willing to travel a radius of up to 100 miles from store to store.
  • Travel for this position should be expected up to 100% of the time.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record with at least 1 year of driving experience
  • Must be able to drive your own vehicle to and from UBIF locations up to 100 miles
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Willing to undergo and pass a background check including Criminal, Driving and Drug Test
  • Previous retail or customer service experience
  • Cell phone and device repair experience preferred
