AND you get paid to do it? CARD is excited to announce current openings for Youth Volleyball Coaches and Officials. EMPLOYMENT DATES & TIMES: Anticipated dates for fall 2021 season

All health guidelines and regulations from CA and local Health Departments will be followed for programming and trainings.

PROGRAMS:

Youth Leagues (grades 2nd-8th): Recruiting for coaches and officials

TIMES:

Youth Leagues: Coaches must be available on Tuesdays from 3:30-5:30PM, and/or Thursdays from 3:30-5PM or 5-7PM. Each team only has one practice and one game a week. Games will be Fridays from 9/7-10/19 between 3:30-7PM. Practices start the week of September 6.

MANDATORY TRAININGS: All staff must complete a background check, a virtual New Hire Orientation (through Human Resources), a virtual Sports Orientation, and an on-site training the week of August 30.

CARD SPORTS MISSION: Every participant, player, parent, coach, official and staff is considered to be part of the CARD Sports team. The golden rule of the Sports team is to remember that we are here for the participants. We want to make every child & adult in our program not only a better athlete, but more importantly, a better person through the life skills the sports can provide. Promote respect, citizenship and sportsmanship

Teach the fundamentals of sports, with progression of skills, drills and game play throughout the season/program.

Make sure all players know that they are safe, they matter, they are supported, and they are connected to the team- regardless of any difference they may have.

Give all players the benefits and life skills that sports provides.

Give all players a LOVE OF THE GAME that will spark an interest that will last a lifetime.

We are constantly looking at way to improve, learn from our mistakes, and provide the best possible programming for our community. We are passionate about sports and how it can positively impact a person's life. We are passionate about the "bigger picture" of what makes sports great.

WHAT: CARD is currently looking for energetic, passionate and kind people to staff our upcoming fall volleyball programs. Staff are responsible for making sure all players/coaches/spectators are gaining a “love of the game” in a positive, safe and age appropriate environment, while following the expectations and goals of the CARD Sports Department.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

The ideal candidate will be able to provide a fun and positive recreational sports experience encompassing a “Love of the Game” philosophy.

Having 5+ years of coaching, officiating and/or playing volleyball experience is preferred.

Having basic knowledge of the sports is important, but the ability to coach children in an age appropriate manner that enables program participants to learn and improve skills, while fostering positive self-esteem, and promoting sportsmanship is our priority

Have passion and/or experience in working with youth and/or adults

Have the ability and personality to uphold high program expectations, to ensure each session is run safely with passion, energy, and enthusiasm.

Ensuring the safety of all participants.

Organizational skills to effectively email and communicate with players, parents, co-workers, Coordinator and Supervisor.
