OverviewThis position manages Aerojet Rocketdyne’s Organizational Effectiveness (OE) function, including a team of talent management, performance and change management design and delivery internal consultants to the business.The Senior Manager ofOrganizational Effectiveness isa thought leader in assessing critical business issues and helpingHR leaders develop direction and execution to advance the organization’s strategy.This role is responsible for designing and facilitating organization development and change initiatives in partnership with business leaders and the HR Business Partner team.Aerojet Rocketdyne offers a complete line of propulsion products for launch vehicles ranging from missile defense to advanced hypersonic propulsion. Visit www.rocket.com to learn more about our company.Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)Partner with senior business leaders and HR Business Partners to assess organizational needs and develop comprehensive solutions and interventions to increase organizational performance
Create “followership” for OD/OE principles that will help embed a growth mindset, optimizing organizational capability
Apply foundational organizational effectiveness model(s), e.g., STAR (Galbraith) to build consistent frameworks and tools across the enterprise
Provide thought leadership for organizational change efforts, driving centralized methodology to support execution at the local level
Embed proven change management methods, e.g., ADKAR to support future-state alignment and operational effectiveness
Identify organizational transitions and lead programs to support transformation, leadership assimilation and integration of new business initiatives and potential M&A
Develop the framework and tools for strategic workforce planning, including the design of organizational structures to optimize business delivery
Evaluate industry best practices and provide expertise regarding performance management, career development and employee engagement
Leverage people analytics to support the talent dashboard and drive continuous improvement
Identify, adopt and leverage technology solutions to drive talent and performance management across the organization
Coach the OE/OD professionals and broader HR team to ensure best-in-class delivery to the business, orchestrating projects and workflow to incorporate excellence in program design, teamwork and innovative solutions
Serve as a key member of the HR leadership team, partnering cross-functionally to ensure the effectiveness of the HR function
RequirementsThis role requires a proven organizational effectiveness leader who has demonstrated success in leading successful initiatives in talent, performance and change management.Bachelor’s degree and at least fourteen (14) years of related experience; advanced degree preferred
At least five (5) years of experience leading OE, OD and/or Talent Management teams or functions with progressively increasing responsibility, including building and leading a team
Known as a change management expert with the ability to lead and teach others
Demonstrated experience and success partnering as a strategic adviser to all levels and functions within the business
Proven track record in developing customized, innovative Organizational Effectiveness solutions to meet business challenges
Experience working with virtual teams
Strategic thinking and decision-making skills, strong analytical problem-solving and design skills, and a customer-focused mindset
Clear and effective verbal and written communication, influencing and facilitation skills
Demonstrated skills in project and program management
