We are seeking an Industrial Energy Efficiency Outreach Lead who will be the main point of contact for the coordination of Utility-offered industrial energy efficiency programs and resources. The Industrial Energy Efficiency Outreach Lead will leverage their CA industrial network to proactively build and maintain relationships that lead to natural gas and electric efficiency project opportunities. The Outreach Lead will work closely with utility and program staff and act as the facilitator between industrial customers, vendors, implementation contractors, and energy efficiency service providers. Success in this role leads to happy, repeat customers that fill a pipeline of energy efficiency project opportunities.

This is a full-time, exempt position to cover our central and northern California territory and reports to the Program Manager. This position will be based in Cascade’s Pleasanton, CA office, however, a work from home option elsewhere in the state will be considered. Travel is anticipated for this role approximately 20% - 30% of the time, consisting primarily of day trips.

As a part of our team, the most important qualifications are shared values, a customer-centric approach, and an aptitude for learning. You would be a great fit for this position if you:

Have comprehensive knowledge of industrial customers, vendors, suppliers, and contractors operating in California

Have 5+ years working with PG&E industrial customers and have current relationships with large food processors and manufacturers

Have a solid understanding of industrial processes (i.e., what systems use energy, how they use energy, what methods exist for reducing energy use)

Understand industrial environments, have experience on a technical sales team, and deep knowledge of the energy efficiency opportunities related but not limited to boilers, furnaces, pumps, fans, and compressors

Have experience with and an understanding of utility funded energy efficiency or demand side management programs and/or California energy regulations

Understand project financial metrics and how projects are “sold” to upper management

Have a BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent experience

Enjoy leveraging industrial networks by communicating effectively with a broad audience ranging from executives to equipment operators

Pay close attention to customer “care-abouts” and have built trusting, long-term, professional relationships

Are responsive, customer-service oriented mindset and love to delight your customers

Exercise critical thinking and apply exceptional problem-solving skills while remaining flexible Compensation & Benefits
