The Network Implementation Equipment Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end implementation of Centralized RAN (CRAN) solutions. You will help to build the foundation that keeps us in front of the competition. Your role will be pivotal to coordinate activities within the network function and across other teams to make completing complex projects look easy.

JOB DUTIES:
  • Cross functional work is required to collaborate with other teams in the Submarket including Real Estate, RF Design, Construction, Implementation, Operations, and System Performance.
  • Review 4G & 5G small cell and macro new build POR forecast to determine Centralized RAN equipment needs and translate this design into a full implementation scope of work to include appropriate power, space, rack, cooling, baseband, transport and minor materials.
  • Review closeout packages (COP's) to drive quality and accuracy of installation of equipment by vendors.
  • Manage general contractor relationships to confirm that the equipment is delivered and received timely and in accordance with company compliance guidelines.
  • Manage purchase orders to ensure that they are aligned with project implementation timelines.
  • Manage vendor relationships to confirm that the equipment is delivered and received timely and in accordance with company compliance guidelines.
  • Deliver on monthly spend targets that help support our capital commitments and maintain program cadence/run rates.
  • Utilize project tracking tools and systems to accurately document equipment orders, schedules and installation completions.

SKILLS:
  • 3+ years' experience of LTE implementation projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing many technical projects simultaneously and delivering results on time
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal, written, analytical and communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong skill set in critical thinking, problem solving, and influencing/motivating of non-direct reports
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge and strong experience with the full suite of Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in Wireless/Cellular/Telecom RAN technologies
  • Demonstrated strong ability to coordinate and work well within a team environment to meet common goals
  • Strong understanding of 4G LTE technology, Nokia experience preferred

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Electrical, Industrial, Computer Science, etc) preferred.
