How you will make a difference The role of the Data Engineer is to maintain a single repository of truth for the Customer Analytics Function including data from customer systems, contact center/call management/workforce management systems, and digital channels like the website, mobile app, SMS/texting/chat feature(s), and proactive notification system(s). The Data Engineer will identify, correlate, store, and make-available data from these disparate sources to a variety of individuals in furtherance of their analytical needs.

What you bring to your new team

Achieves expert knowledge of various source systems, specifically their data collection and storage capabilities.
Maintains the Customer Analytics functions central repositories
Maintains the structure and integrity of the Customer Analytics Data Mart (Microsoft SQL Server). Designs and implements a schema that efficiently stores source data at appropriate grains. Creates methodologies for keying and cross-referencing data from different source systems. Designs fact and dimension tables (including slowly changing dimensions) that meet analytical needs.
Maintains the structure of the Customer Analytics Analytical Model (Microsoft SQL Analysis Services – Tabular) including aggregations, summarizations, and time-windowed measures.
Create, maintain, and troubleshoot extract-transform-load processes that migrate data between source systems and the Customer Analytics Data Mart using Microsoft SSIS and/or Informatica.
Audit and verify stored data in the Customer Analytics Data Mart and Customer Analytics Analytical Model for data quality, maintaining rules for ensuring high reliability. Troubleshoot and remedy data quality issues as necessary.
Maintain the Customer Analytics Data Dictionary (Erwin, MS SQL Management Studio, MS Office) to provide analysts and business users with an understanding of available tables, fields, measures, and dimensions
Build and maintain reporting frameworks in core visualization tools (MS PowerBI, MS Excel)

How you add even MORE value

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field;

Master’s Degree in Information Science, Business, Data Analytics or Data Science preferred 3-5 years in a data engineering role managing SQL Databases and ETL processes;

If Master’s in Data Science / Data Analytics, relevant portfolio, capstone project or internship work product in lieu of work experience if such work product includes a substantial data management component

Specific expertise in the Microsoft SQL & analytics stack: MS SQL Server, MS SSIS, MS SSAS, MS PowerBI.

Microsoft certifications desired.

Strong attention to detail.

Demonstrated strong work ethic and exceptional levels of accountability and self-drive.

Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.

Proficient with using Microsoft Office and ability to be trained on other software necessary for position.
Strong knowledge of contact center processes and experience supporting a contact center.
Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
