Shipping & Receiving Clerk

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk verifies the accuracy of all incoming and outgoing shipments. The S&R Clerk packages out-going goods in accordance with applicable specifications to adequately protect product. The S&R Clerk receives and verifies accurate count and shipping integrity of all goods-in shipments.
Responsibilities:
Package all out-going shipments to ensure product protection and preservation and compliance with applicable customer
specifications.
Ensure count accuracy of all out-going and goods-in shipments
Schedule carrier pick-ups
Schedule deliveries by the Building Maintenance Technician/Driver or perform deliveries in his/her absence
Receive and log all goods-in shipments
Perform receiving inspections including, but not limited to document verifications, dimensional measurements, visual inspection of
product workmanship and visual inspection for handling or transit damage
Notify Management of any discrepancies in products, counts or damaged parts, immediately
Prepare tags and reports to maintain traceability and status of work-in-process materials.
Maintain accurate inventory of all finished goods
Support compliance with ISO and the Business Management System policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years experience in shipping & receiving in a precision product manufacturing facility.
Ability to coordinate and expedite work between departments to meet schedule requirements
Valid Arizona driver’s license with clean driving record/limited moving violations.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand spoken and written English with sufficient proficiency to perform position requirements
accurately and safely and to comprehend and comply with the Business Management System policies and procedures.
Basic proficiency with computers, MSWord, MS Excel, and network operations
Skills:
Proficiency with transportation documents such as manifests, bills of lading, packing lists, etc.
Proficiency in basic arithmetic.
Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings.
Ability to interact with managers, supervisors and co-workers in a positive and cooperative manner.
Attention to detail is a must
Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment with tight deadlines
Ability to solve problems with attention to root cause within your area of responsibility.
Sound judgment when packing materials as to not damage parts
