Job Responsibilities:

- Cleaning and preparing construction sites

- Loading and unloading materials and equipment

- Digging trenches, compacting earth, and backfilling holes

- Attending to landscaping

- Operating basic handheld tools and power tools

- Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans

- Assisting skilled tradespeople in their duties

- Transport of company equipment; a valid driver’s license is a requirement

Laborer skills and qualifications

- Perform mathematical calculations

- Stamina and endurance to perform a very physical job

- A valid driver’s license

Laborer knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

- A high school diploma or greater is preferred, but not required.

Physical demands as described must be met by an employee of Whelcon Construction LLC to perform essential job functions successfully. Applicant must be able to do the following:

- Talk, hear, and see with the ability to distinguish colors.

- Stand, walk, sit, or kneel for long periods of time.

- Use hands to control tools, write, and type.

- Wear weighted safety gear as required by safety regulation for long periods of time, such as steel-toed shoes, a belt safety harness, and a hard hat.

- Lift and carry up to 40 lbs of weight.

- Ability to withstand extreme weather, generally heat.
