Description
Position Summary:Primary responsibility is to answer phones and respond quickly to emails with technical support issues related to end user computers, applications, printers, scanners, and internet connectivity issues. Also helps set up cell phones, iPads, smartphones, ESN changes, and other cell phone needs. Works with pre-established technical guidelines implemented by the technical support lead or Director of Information Systems.Required Tasks:- Provide technical support on software application for all end users on computer related issues such as antivirus, MS Office, operating system, FTP usage, corporate cloud storage sites, and company applications accessibility.
- Sets up printers, scanners, wireless, and internet routers at jobsites.
- Connects users to corporate office printers queued off printer servers.
- Purchases and repairs computer hardware as needed.
- Install / image operating systems and standard desktop applications when needed.
- Sets up video conference sessions with outside or intra office locations.
- Sets up hardware and software necessary to run company training meetings.
- Regular, timely, and predictable attendance is required for this position.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Associates degree or technology-related certificate.
- Two years of technology-related experience.
- A+ certification is highly preferred.
- Network + certification is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, networking technologies, Windows 7/10 Systems, MS Office, and HP, Canon & Savin printing technology.
- Possess excellent communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of employees.
- Ability to understand and speak English clearly.
- Ability to install operating systems and build computer from spare parts.
- Ability to effectively diagnose hardware problems and resolve issues quickly.
- Ability to multi-task with multiple demanding issues.
