On the job training is provided but must have a passion for gaming Hours are Monday thru Friday 9 am-5:30 pm, 40 hours a weekmust have no scheduling restrictions Analytical mindset with an inqusitive nature (interested in understanding how something works) General understanding of gaming theory Strong written and verbal communications skills Quick learner not afraid to ask questions and be open to receiving direction Responsibilities: Follow, complete, and update assigned test cases as a video game tester Detect, research, and document software defects in a bug tracking system. Confirm fixes Review product documentation, and report any errors as required Sweeping game builds for bugs and software errors Perform ad-hoc testing procedures to find bugs and gameplay issues Working through test plans to check possible in-game problems Generating bugs reports, clearly describing how the bugs can be reproduced Checking games for spellings, ratings, technical requirements and legal issues Experience: Above all, must be passionate about video games Experience in beta testing a plus Knowledge of gamer culture a plus Advanced computer skills Experience with any type of software testing a plus
