RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a Scottsdale, AZ client that is seeking a Remote Manager, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). This is a 100% remote position including after COVID.
Summary:We are looking for a Remote Manager, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to enhance, support, and troubleshoot observability of our stack. We are looking for someone with a wide breadth of knowledge, experience, and interest in a range of technology domains. We deal with many different technologies; a desire to learn and a hunger to work on challenging projects is a must. This is a leadership role that can drive initiatives to completion and find solutions to complex problems. With a team of Site Reliability Engineers, you will be responsible for creating best practices for our SRE teams in all areas of observability including monitoring, alerting, logging, and related instrumentation.Key Responsibilities of the Manager, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE): The SRE will manage a team of 3-5 Site Reliability Engineers focused on all aspects of observability Lead and contribute to design, develop, and improve logging, monitoring, and alerting Help build client libraries and work with product developers to expose and collect metrics The Manager, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) will coordinate with a separate SRE group to help product teams make use of this tooling Participate in an on-call rotation supporting production systems The Manager, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) will mentor Engineers and help develop their careers and technical skills Work across teams to drive large projectsREQUIREMENTS: Manager, Site Reliability Engineering will need a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering 3+ years of experience managing teams responsible for production engineering support Experience in building and maintaining a software performance program and team Direct experience with infrastructure and application monitoring and alerting systemsKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
