Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent or a consultant.

Summary:

Assists in developing, organizing, and conducting Direct Service programs to provide education while advocating to help adult peer members gain access to resources as they confront their personal issues, such as mental illness, drug and alcohol addiction, conditions, problems and recovery established in partnership with the Behavioral Health Clinics.

Is responsible for overseeing and developing Direct Services through tasks such as evaluating, developing, managing, creating strategies to allow for continued growth and to provide clinical services throughout the company's wellness centers.

Must be passionate about providing hope, healing and health to the people we serve: people with mental health, substance abuse, legal involvement, as well as the community in general. Have a desire to help others reach a balanced mental health and wellness lifestyle. Must enforce three values: 1). person-centered, 2). evidence-based and 3). quality-driven.

Compensation Base: $21.00 an hour + DOE - 40 hours a week or will consider part-time or a consultant.

Facilitates and co-facilitates informative educational presentations, group counseling, and individual counseling sessions.

Compensation Base: $20.00 an hour + DOE - 40 hours a week.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Facilitates and co-facilitates informative educational presentations, group counseling, and individual counseling sessions.

Maintains knowledge of new developments in the field of substance abuse, mental health recovery and social services.

Maintains a cooperative relationship with other professionals, programs, and associations.

Completes required testing, assessment, and psychosocial history on Peer members and housing residents as required.

May work in an inpatient residential facility, wellness center, offices, and/or clients' homes.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements (Minimum)

Licensed by the State of Arizona's Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as a Substance Abuse Technician/Counselor (LSAT, LASAC or LISAC) required.

Preference given to experience within a Peer Run Wellness Center or Behavioral Health Clinic setting.

Working knowledge of the Twelve Step Program of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.

Maintain an in-person 60% productivity with Peer Members, and subordinates providing counseling.

Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the NAZCARE.

Ability to work with a team of professionals and have the ability to implement team strategy approaches to work assignments.

Keep organized and detailed documentation such as treatment plans, intake assessments and annual behavioral health assessments.

Be passionate about medication assisted treatment for opioid use disorder, and about working in the field of substance and mental health recovery counseling.

COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Case Management and/or substance abuse counseling experience preferred.

Current State of Arizona Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (Independent or Associate level license in Behavioral Health i.e. LISAC, LAC, LPC, LAMFT, LMSW, LCSW)

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service.
