Job Overview:
As a Construction Foreman, you will lead and manage on-site construction activities for various projects. Oversee workers, ensure safety protocols, coordinate tasks according to priorities, and monitor productivity and quality control. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, excellent leadership abilities, and a commitment to craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate workers' activities on construction sites.
Self-perform job duties as needed.
Review project plans and blueprints to ensure that specifications are followed.
Ensure all work meets quality standards and adheres to safety regulations.
Assign tasks to crew members, ensuring that projects are completed on time.
Inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites for safety.
Collaborate with project managers to address any issues or changes to the project scope.
Ensure job site cleanliness and compliance with all safety standards.
Train, mentor, and provide feedback to construction crew members.
Report daily progress and challenges to management.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a construction foreman or in a supervisory role.
In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA safety guidelines.
Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and plans.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in using construction software or willing to learn.
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
5+ years of experience in the construction industry, with supervisory experience preferred.
Experience in commercial, residential, met stud framing, drywall, etc.
