Auto Body Technician / Classic Truck Shop

Auto Body Technician wanted for Apicella Designs, Specializing in Classic Chevy Pickups 1947-1959

Apicella Designs is a high end classic truck restoration shop located in Phoenix, Arizona. We specialize in classic Chevrolet pickups ranging from 1941 all the way through the early year C10 models, however, we are known for excelling at the 1947-1953 Chevy 3100 body styles. We incorporate modern technology and amenities including custom spec'd chassis, upgraded drivetrain and brand new GM licensed cabs, into a beautiful classic looking pickups ranging from daily drivers to full show truck packages. We have been building these classics since 2014 and are looking to grow our team! We have have in-house paint and body and numerous builds going on simultaneously.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Previous paint and body experience necessary, this is not a training position.

- Restoration experience preferred.

- Full time position.

- Efficient in body filler application, panel fitment, sanding, blocking and priming of vehicles.

- Proficiency in accurately creating and/or straightening body lines.

- Quickly and efficiently skilled in masking and taping off panels and correctly wiping down panels for prime and or paint.

- Mindful of supplies being used for jobs done.

- A team player with great communications skills. We are a co-ed shop with men and woman working, you must be able to communicate effectively and professionally in the work setting.

- Communicating to management when necessary supplies are needed in a timely manner.

- Can attend to daily duties including; being on your feet many hours of the day, bending, lifting, kneeling, twisting, cleaning up work space at end of shift.

Job Requirements:

- Ability to work independently or with team members.

- Ability to work in hot or cold temperatures for long periods of time.

- Valid drivers license, and can safely operate motor vehicle and has reliable transportation to and from work.

- Must be able to lift and or carry heavy supplies or materials up to 50lbs.

- Dependability to show up to work on time, daily.

- Four 10 hour day shifts 7am-6pm Monday- Thursday. (With flexibility)
