D&M Maintenance Technicians are generalists, required to manage complex repairs and maintenance solutions for electrical, mechanical, carpentry, plumbing and climate-control systems. This role requires replacing broken fixtures, patching cracks in concrete pavement or drywall, and painting worn surfaces. Technicians will be responsible for maintaining all building structures in a clean, usable and safe manner within the community and its surroundings.

Along with the mechanics of this position, we also ask for an attention to detail. Proper installation and preservation of equipment, record keeping is part of the daily TASK performed by our techs, detailed completion of inspections, and talent to complete work order requests. Prompt Unit turn overs must be of top priority.

Technicians consistently meet with Community Managers to help ensure expenses are properly maintained and that the needs of all Residents, and the building, are being met. Therefore positive, upbeat, interactions are mandatory.

Technicians must be able to practice safety standards, to minimize hazards (i.e. wearing protective clothing, such as gloves and steel toed boots)

Knowledge in the correct handling, storage and use of general power, air, hand and measuring tools, as well as flammable, hazardous and/or contaminated materials, chemicals and debris is required.

What do I need? |

No formal education is required; courses or certifications in shop, pools, trades, computers and science may be helpful.

Skill set should include the ability to work independently and/or take direction as the position/tasks require, strong communication, comprehension and mechanical inclination.

Working evenings, weekends or on-call hours may be required, a flexible, willing attitude necessary.
