Location: Phoenix, AZ

Length of Contract: 6 months with option to extend

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field
• Data solutions certification is preferred
• Proficient with data solutions
• Understand issues relating to data security and privacy
• 5 years of experience in a data warehousing, data engineering or data architect role
• Expert level SQL skills
• Experience working with a variety of data sources such as MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, AWS and connecting to sources via API
• Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability
• Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively demonstrate features and test results to technical and non-technical peers and stakeholders
• Experience with data management/visualization software and middleware such as SFTP, SAS, Tableau and Magic XPI

Responsibilities

• Build and manage data repository strategy per business requirements and execute and test for fit for purpose
• Collaborate with business leads, application owners, end users and third-party contact to design, implement and test data repo in a phased manner
• Provide overall technical design of the repository and create/own data dictionary that defines all data elements
• Design ETL process including SQL transformation code
• Develop and perform unit, system, performance and regression testing on ETL mappings
• Research and troubleshoot data quality issues, providing fixes and proposing both short- and long-term solutions
• Analyze all data from sources and develop logical models and schema for repository
• Monitor data integrity performance and adopt/suggest appropriate tools
• Coordinate with analytical team and collect all technical requirements
• Document all project and system requirements
• Create a governance model that would ensure certification of reports going through life cycle of testing to production
• Follow best practices, coding standards, and create enterprise framework for data repo and BI platform that can be scaled with Business growth.
• Track and report on project risks, progress, issues, and milestones; provide status reports to management, project teams, and other project stakeholders.
