Sr QA Analyst (SAP)

About the Job The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst will work to increase and assure the level of quality of PetSmart solutions and services by: Partnering with the business to validate the software under test meets the pre-determined acceptance criteria Taking ownership of QA projects including managing and organizing testing artifacts and resources for all aspects of testing Designing, writing, and executing tests manual and automated tests in a complex integrated environment to determine whether the product is ready to release Implementing end-to-end program quality initiative Contributing to and evangelizing QA engineering and testing best practices KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Work with SAP, Warehouse Mgmt., integration, product, solution, system and business owners to understand solutions being developed and identify test requirements across the enterprise portfolio Develop and execute formal test activities following industry standard test processes according to established procedures ensuring audit requirements are met Create integrated test plans and scenarios, test reports and other supporting documentation and artifacts for large complex projects Write test scripts and perform test execution including functional, integration, regression, end-to-end and model-based automation to meet functional, performance, scalability and security goals. Provide direction and training for Application Analysts and other testers in test execution Defect detection and independent analysis, reproducing and isolating reported defects to narrow field of focus, and technical collaboration with analysts and developers for root-cause analysis Establish, direct, and monitor processes for consistent test case execution, defect documentation and tracking Assist with environment management and solution migration through development, QA and UAT environments working closely with release management Schedule and prioritize work and activities to meet target schedule, quality, scope, and cost objectives Track quality assurance metrics such as test execution, defect densities and open defect counts Create and maintain test plan, testing status reports for all assigned projects and work efforts Effectively manage multiple testing activities Subject matter expert in the applications responsible to test QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years of experience in a Senior QA/Software Engineering related role Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience or combination of both Demonstrated ability in a project management/defect tracking/change management platform 2+ years of experience managing offshore teams SAP (S4HANA, R/3) testing experience Experience with Manufacturing or Supply Chain applications Solid background in functional testing methodologies Understanding of Agile/Scrum frameworks and Waterfall methodology Should be customer-oriented, mission focused, and a quick learner Work well within a team setup and helps build a positive team environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work with and through others to resolve issues Passion for delivering quality software solutions, systems and services Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and the ability to deal with ambiguity Experienced oral and written communicator with good interpersonal skills Positive attitude and solid work ethic Continuous learner Preferred Qualifications: Experience writing and maintaining test automation 3+ years of operations/product support experience Release Management experience Production Support experience Non-Functional testing (Stress, Performance, Load testing) Experience with industry test tools (JMeter, SOAPUI, qTest, Tosca etc.) SQL and data verification About the Culture Our home office offers outstanding amenities in a fun and rewarding workplace including: Pet friendly environment, bring your pets to work!
