Our IT team has 4 different departments: Information Security, IT Service Delivery, Business Enabling Systems, and IT Commerce & Customer Engagement. PetSmart's Information Technology team is currently looking for an experienced Program Manager who will provide leadership direction across the commerce and customer engagement team. This role will provide leadership to a team of project managers and scrum masters, supporting large, strategic initiatives, delivered in a hybrid methodology. You will partner with other leaders across IT to champion the existing standards and drive alignment to new processes across the IT PMO. People & Team Influence Demonstrate abilities as a team leader; lead teams to create an atmosphere of trust Seek diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation Adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines Able to lead without authority and drive collaboration across the teams Consult and influence IT leaders and serve as a liaison to internal and external partners on department and enterprise strategies, seek to understand and lead through change Coach non-PM associates on process and project methodologies to facilitate organizational efficiencies in smaller projects Project Management Standards Accountable for maintaining consistent delivery of programs led by your team Coaches team to anticipate issues and risks, implementing preventative measures to avoid them or escalate appropriately Apply expert knowledge of project management to lead the development, implementation, and sustainability of PMO standards, frameworks, and best practices Develop and deliver effective tracking, reporting, resourcing, and communication tools to provide leadership meaningful key progress results and project status updates Recruit, hire and train project managers and scrum masters on best practices and standards Knowledge of capital expense budgeting/spend process, may drive contracts/SOWs, oversee budgets; review expenditures and partner to analyze variances What You'll Bring to the Table 8+ years' program and project leadership, with an emphasis on highly complex systems and business capabilities 5+ years' managing team of direct reports Self-driven, with strong critical thinking, communication, and relationship building skills Proficient in project management discipline and tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Office Suite PMP, SAFe, CSM or other certifications with demonstrable application desired Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 8+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience #Dice About the Culture Our home office offers outstanding amenities in a fun and rewarding workplace including: Pet friendly environment, bring your pets to work!
