Payroll Specialist w/Construction Payroll Experience
Arizona, Phoenix, 85001 Phoenix USAJob Duties and Responsibilities:
· Gather information on hours worked for all employees for multiple companies.
· Efficient and accurate input of all new employee set up information, and employee record changes.
· Heavy data entry of all time sheet entries for weekly processing of payroll across multiple companies & processing of the same.
· Balancing and final posting of all weekly payrolls including scheduling and posting of tax deposits.
· Maintain strict confidentiality of all employee and company information.
· Help with preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly payroll reports.
· General office duties associated with the processing of weekly payrolls including stuffing, sorting, scanning and filing.
· Assist with other payroll projects or other assigned duties as time allows.
Required Qualifications:
· Bilingual in Spanish
· Two or more years of recent experience in the position of payroll specialist or clerk in the construction field.
· This position requires a high volume of heavy data entry into grid screens so accuracy and speed are key along with proficiency with desktop calculator by touch.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities with frequent interruptions.
· Ability to stay organized and produce accurate results while meeting established deadlines.
· Effective analytical and problem solving skills.
· Communicate effectively.
· Strong system based skills in Word and Excel with the ability to learn payroll software.
· Solid understanding of construction job cost, accounting fundamentals, and payroll best practices.
· Trustworthy.
· Ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
· Previous working knowledge of Sage Timberline Software a major plus.
