CNC Operator/Shop Lead
Arizona, Phoenix, 85001 Phoenix USAWe are an AS9100 certified manufacturer of aerospace and commercial products in the west valley, with an immediate need for a CNC operator/shop lead for our second shift. Hours are 3:30pm – 2:00am, Monday – Thursday, with possible overtime on Friday. We provide a competitive wage, health insurance, vacation, holidays, sick leave, tuition reimbursement, and more.
POSITION SUMMARY
In addition to the regular CNC Operator duties and the duties/responsibilities listed below, the CNC Operator/Shop Lead will assist with monitoring work flow and provide assistance to co-workers as required. The CNC Operator/Shop Lead does not function in a supervisory capacity, but performs as a role model for co-workers. This position reports directly to the CNC Shop Supervisor.
SHOP LEAD ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accomplish positive results by assisting in monitoring job results: the “go to” person on the shop floor.
Assist in the completion of production planning by monitoring job progress; resolve minor problems; report results of the processing flow to shop supervisor.
Assure safety procedures are followed and work stations are cleaned at the end of the shift.
Maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.
Apprise shop supervisor of any personnel problems/issues.
Contribute to team effort by supporting a positive work environment.
Ability to set-up is required
CNC OPERATOR
Ability to run Haas Mills
Accurately inspect machined parts and adjust machine as required to produce parts to meet specs.
Ensure problems are identified and resolved
Maintain proper documentation and reports
Effectively communicate with other workers
Programming experience preferred, but not required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma/GED with 5 years related CNC operator/machinist experience and/or training.
Ability to read and interpret machining blueprints, use hand inspection tools, and read gauges.
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers
Experience with machining principles and the ability to evaluate and solve problems
Must be a quick learner, self-motivated, dependable and work well with others
