Assistant Vice President AVP - Technology Architecture The AVP-Technology Architecture) is a key member of the Honor Health Information Technology leadership team. In collaboration with the CIO, is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive and innovative multi-year digital and technology strategies, architectural standards and comprehensive plans that align and facilitate the successful realization of the organization's strategic and operational goals and metrics. Acts as the 'trusted advisor between the people, processes and technical components for these strategies and removes obstacles. The position responsibilities include enterprise architecture, technical develop and operations compute, network, storage, end user compute telecommunications, database administration and other technology platforms across the enterprise.
  • Accountable for assuring that the organizations information and communication technologies are implemented and maintained optimally and in a manner that best meets the needs of the organization’s operational requirements and in compliance with the Service Level Agreement. Overall responsibility for the planning, design and support of the organizations core infrastructure technologies and enterprise architecture. Core elements include network, directory services, desktop and server engineering, messaging, and integration and application delivery. Ensure all required technical documentation is developed and maintained.
  • Develops a well-structured operating model that links strategy and operations that meet or exceed the needs of internal customers/stakeholders, reducing infrastructural and operational risks, identifying key decisions and responsibilities, maintaining cross-divisional and cross-functional integration, increasing operational inefficiencies.
  • Develops and maintains a comprehensive annual technology plan supporting the organizations strategic and tactical objectives. Is responsible for successful implementation. Ensures appropriate staffing is allocated and engaged in execution of the plan.
  • Is accountable for day-to-day IT operations ensuring appropriate policies, procedures, documentation and monitoring are in place to meet or exceed organization SLAs and associated customer service goals. Establishes and has oversight of DevOps resources, determine and maintain organization’s agile methodology in support of application, product, technical and process development efforts, effectively adopt and utilize state-of-art technology in DevOps methodologies and technologies by ensuring best practices are continuously brought into the organization for continuous improvement.
  • Functions as a trusted credible advocate, through collaboration with medical staff, administrative leaders physician groups, and throughout the community in order to enhance clinical and operational programs. Actively engages the clinical community through participation on various committees and through the development of interpersonal relationships in order to understand current clinical community concerns within the organization.
  • Develops vendor partnerships to leverage technology solutions and ecosystems executing technology investments that drive the organization’s strategies and growth.
  • As part of the development and execution of the annual technology plan, ensure all gaps identified in the annual HIPAA assessment are fully remediated. Present quarterly progress to appropriate compliance and leadership resources.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or 10 years' work related experience in Information Management, Engineering or related field
  • 10 years in Information Technology in progressively responsible leadership roles in large integrated health network, multi- hospital and all disciplines of infrastructure management, data center operations, network architecture and service management.
