Network Operations Center Engineer II (Hybrid Role)

As a Senior NOC Engineer, you will play a critical role supporting the computer networks of the entirety of the organization. Working alongside a team of skilled engineers you will work to identify issues, resolve incidents, implement standard changes, and oversee the computer networks and infrastructure that enable Citizens business operations. In this position, you will leverage your experience and technical expertise to ensure the stability of Citizens business operations.The NOC Engineer II will be responsible for:
Monitoring and managing network infrastructure; identifying and resolving potential problems, alerts, issues and incidents.
Collaborating with network engineering and IT teams to implement request and standard changes.
Offering Tier II technical network support; leveraging knowledge of network analysis and performance evaluation to provide Tier II technical support; Assisting with the resolution of escalating tickets; offering general support to IT service operations.
Auditing technical network support tickets; documenting patterns and trends as they emerge.
Capture detail relevant information and escalate tickets to Tier II (Senior NOC Engineer).
Provide recommendations for improvements to establish efficiency and efficacy standards within the department.
Ability to build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and customers.
Engage 2nd lines, field services, and third parties as necessary, coordinating steps to restore network services promptly.
Provide technical support to other members of the team.
Required Skill and Experience:
3-5 years in a network operations role.
Familiarity with ticketing systems and ticket workflows.
Knowledge of network routing, switching and wireless (preferably Cisco, Aruba or Arista)
Ability to work under pressure to be mindful of customer experience.
Desire and motivation to learn and advance skill levels.
Ability to work unsupervised and prioritize work.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Attention to detail.
Bachelor’s or equivalent experience
Desired Skills and Experience
Familiar with network monitoring or supplemental tools. (Algosec, Splunk, Panorama)
Familiar with network security products (preferably Palo Alto, Firepower, Netskope)
Preferably experience with vendor circuit triage troubleshooting
Familiar with any other network disciplines is a plus (Load Balancers, Proxy, VPN)
Network certification is a plus (CCNP, CompTIA, PCSNE)
Pay Transparency The salary range for this position is 70,000 - 105,000 per year plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
