Description Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for a highly skilled and experienced Division Controller for a 3+ month contract with a manufacturing company located in Phoenix, AZ. The consultant will be reporting to the VP, Corporate Controller located in Texas and the General Manager in Phoenix. The ideal consultant will enjoy being hands-on, managing a team of 5, working with leadership and implementing processes and procedures. Responsibilities: Manage assigned team(s) tasked with performing Division’s accounting operations and maintaining financial records Ensure accuracy of Division’s monthly financial statements by preparing required reconciliations, making appropriate accruals, reviewing trial balances, correcting accounting errors, and collaborating with peers in other Company Divisions to ensure all Intercompany activity pertaining to Division is accounted for, and by delegating these tasks as appropriate to subordinates. Maintain proficiency on all information technology used by Division and Corporate Accounting and Finance departments, as required by and appropriate to role. Prepare monthly variance analysis commentary for Division’s actual results vs. budget/forecast. Perform regular financial analysis to identify trends and escalate concerns to Division and Corporate leadership as appropriate. Assist Corporate Finance with developing Division operating and capital budgets. Provide guidance to Corporate Accounting on Division-specific accounting and finance related matters, and respond to ad-hoc requests from corporate departments for analysis and data. Support acquisitions, divestitures, and/or business reorganizations. Review and approve Division’s inventory accounting controls. Maintain documented internal control processes. Comply with, and ensure assigned team(s) compliance with, official Human Resources policies as well as specific functional guidelines as promulgated by the Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Controller, and Division’s Executive General Manager. Drive internal process improvement and operating efficiencies. Other duties as required.Requirements · 8+ years professional hands-on accounting experience, including supervisory experience.· BA/BS in Accounting, or bachelor’s degree in related field with a minimum of 24 hours of accounting coursework.· Proficiency with Accounting ERP systems.· Strong working knowledge of GAAP.· Excellent financial analysis skills.· Strong working knowledge of Excel.· Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.· Excellent communication skills.· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.· Outstanding leadership skills.· Manufacturing and job costing experience highly preferred.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
