Big Data Engineer with some Admin backgroundLocation : Phoenix (Remote for now)Duration: 2 Years

Job Description:Key Points:Hadoop Administration experience is required for the role.The engineer will utilize extensive experience with Big Data, Hadoop, MapR/Ezmeral Data Fabric, Hortonworks Data Platform, YARN, Hive, Spark, HBase, Unravel, and Privacera.

Job Duties: · Drive delivery of engineering solutions for the Hadoop on cloud or on-premises Linux instances, including analysis, design, development configuration, capacity planning, expansion, and performance tuning

Closely collaborate with data engineering teams to support development and deployment of Hive, Spark, and Hadoop jobs.
Identify and initiate service availability/performance improvement efforts ·

Contribute to the architecture design of the cluster to support growing demands and requirements.

Contribute to planning and implementation of software and hardware upgrades related to Hadoop platforms if needed.
Recommend and implement standards and best practices related to cluster administration using Kafka, HBase, Spark, Hive etc.
