RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client, a growing company in the Financial Services industry is seeking a Sr. Product Owner. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager in Phoenix, AZ.

Summary:You will be responsible for maintenance and advancement of technology products and/or the department by facilitating continuous improvement through an understanding of stakeholder needs, prioritizing needs based on business value and communicating needs to the delivery team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Articulate product requirements in collaboration with development team, sponsors and stakeholders utilizing an understanding of user and customer needs along with business goals Work with development team to support daily planning, review and subject matter expertise Support the selection of project and initiative resources Document project requirements Facilitate requirement visioning sessions, working with teams as required and prioritizing feature list; product road mapping to include feature maps, user stories, design sketches, etc. Complete impact analysis (supporting cost/benefit analysis), focus on maximizing return on investment (ROI) Own and prioritize the backlog to ensure the team is delivering optimal value Provide timely information and reporting key decisions to technology management Attend backlog grooming, sprint planning and retrospective meetings; working with Scrum Masters to select amount of work the team believes it can do in each sprint and how many sprints are required Work with business stakeholders to define and track key product performance indicators (KPIs), as well as release-specific success metrics Prepare and attending milestone reviews to key stakeholders Release planning and coordinating product launch

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent work experience 5+ years Product Management and/or Product Ownership experience Strong with facilitation requirements-will be facilitating remotely and with 5-13 people at a time Strong story mapping as storyboard sessions are also in groups and need to be extremely detailed Aligns to 8 value streams with a mix of proprietary and third-party integrated technologies Prefer product owner experience and in the financial sector is a plus but not required Ability to follow verbal and written communications Ability to communicate effectively with public and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to self-motivate and work independently Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization Ability to conceptualize and analyze complex business processes Ability to define and achieve business goals and meet deadlines while working both independently and collaboratively Ability to successfully manage multiple, simultaneous initiatives and conflicting priorities Ability to meet and manage customer expectations in a professional and timely manner Strong demonstrated analytical thinking and problem solving ability Professional or educational experience required in the following: project management; business process analysis; requirements analysis and documentations Experience desired in agile software development methods; broker-dealer industry; knowledge in software development technologies Experience with business rules analysis and documentation
