Systems Engineer is responsible for being the team’s technical leader by ensuring team members adhere to company policies, resolving customer complaints, and leading the team technically. Specific Job Duties Include:- Work directly with Systems Administrator group to solve complicated I.T. issues in multiple client environments.
- Work with Systems Administrators to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
- Design, plan and implement advanced technical solutions.
- Quality Check and Network Discovery for projects.
- Participate in initial project planning.
- Meet with clients and manage technical resources as needed.
- Handle escalations from System Admin II Tech
- Act as the team’s escalation point prior to the Systems Administrator group.
- Ensure the documentation and configurations are current for the team’s assigned customer list.
- Ensure that all team members are following all the company’s technical protocols and procedures.
- Assist with technical training of team members.
- Work directly with the Team Lead to address personnel issues related to technical deficiencies.
- Work directly with the Team Lead to implement strategic plans for the team’s assigned customers.
- Have technical proficiency to perform all the Help Desk Tech’s and Help System Admin’s responsibilities.
- Support the MSP Manager as needed.
- 3-5 years of experience in Help Desk or IT position
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- A+, Network+, MCSE, MTA: Windows Server Administration Fundamentals
- Strong networking knowledge
- Proficient in Windows Server and other cloud-based server environments (Azure, AWS, and WVD)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Email and Office Products
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, MacOS, and Linux.
- Efficient problem solving / troubleshooting skills
- Energetic, pleasant and professional
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must have attention to detail and be organized
- Strong time management skills and ability to multitask
- Must be able to work as a proactive team member in an office setting
- Must be based in Arizona
