Associate Civil Engineer
Arizona, Phoenix, 85001 Phoenix USAStetson Engineers Inc. is recruiting for an Associate Civil Engineer for full-time employment in its Arizona office. Stetson Engineers is a water resources engineering firm with approximately 40 professional engineers, hydrologists, and geologists in offices located in northern and southern California, Oregon, Arizona, and Colorado. The candidate will work out of Stetson Engineers’ Apache Junction, Arizona office, collaborating remotely with teammates throughout the company at its five other offices. The position requires a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering and 3-5 years of practical experience with a Professional Engineers License (Civil Engineering).
The candidate’s responsibilities may include:
Assistance with Engineering Design, Plans, Specifications, and Construction Management:
Pipelines & Culverts
Pumps & Pump Stations
Water Tanks
Flood Control Channels
Storage Ponds & Detention Basins
Streambank Restoration and Fish Ladders
Canals and Irrigation Systems
Technical Support:
Hydrologic and Hydraulic Analyses
Water Supply Studies
Water Rights Studies
Irrigation Projects
Flood Control Studies
Grading Plans
Detention Basins
Groundwater and Groundwater Well Investigations
Water Reuse Projects
Typical projects may include assistance with feasibility studies, planning, permitting, preparation of construction plans and specifications, construction management, and cost estimating associated with the responsibilities listed above. Creative thinking, a positive approach to solving difficult problems, and strong organization skills are critical requirements for all projects. The successful candidate must also possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
