Junior Level Data Engineer

A multinational financial services company is looking to hire a Junior Level Data Engineer to join their growing team in the Phoenix valley. This team is responsible for a partner analytics and marketing platform that allows commercial customers and partners to extract related data. As a part of this Agile team, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and evaluate all the components of data, as well as measure and report on metrics related to platform usage levels and performance. The data pipelines that you will be building utilize real time steams, APIs, and batch ETL processes. The primary application you will be working on is external-facing, and so you will also serve as a point of contact for customers and communicate as needed for announcements, compliance, and maintenance. Ideal candidates have a strong understanding of Hadoop and Big Data, and a willingness to collaborate with others on the team to improve application proficiency and speed. This is a great opportunity for Junior Engineers to delve into a highly scalable application and take autonomy over individual responsibilities on various projects. This is a full-time position that starts remote, with further remote flexibility available as well. Ideally, interested candidates live in the Phoenix valley or have a desire to relocate. Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in related to Data Analytics, or related field
• Experience and/or knowledge of Python
• Knowledge of Platforms, such as Hadoop or Big Data
• SQL, Apache Hive and UNIX knowledge
• Understanding of how data is organized, accessed, monitored, and controlled
• Great problem-solving skills

• Experience in System Analysis, Big Data, or Data Warehousing
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and project management tools (Jira, Confluence)
