Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Environmental Services Collections Superintendent.The Environmental Services Collections Superintendent reports to the Environmental Services Manager. The primary function of this position is to prepare reports with clearly organized analysis and justification in support of operation issues including equipment and personnel needs. Prepare and review communication with customers, vendors and other parties. Select, train, motivate, track, assign, and oversee the work of staff; establish schedules and methods for work performed; and ensure adherence to proper work group procedures and policies. Provide formal recommendations for changes in technology or management practices; creating and monitoring fiscal resources as related to specific projects; and aiding in operational and strategic planning.This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Exempt – ineligible for overtime compensation.About YouYou are someone who effectively exceeds customer needs by building productive relationships and taking responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty. Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Public Administration/Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, Communication, Advertising, or a degree related to the core functions of the position.

An associate’s degree is acceptable with an additional 2 years (total of 5 years) of Solid Waste or Public Works experience and an additional 2 years (total of 7 years) of Supervisory experience.

5 years Supervisory experience;

3 years Solid Waste experience or related Public Works experience.

Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.Knowledge of

Ordinances, solid waste and recycling industry practices, procedures and technology of governmental operations.

Budgets and accounts payable/receivable practices.

Skill in:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to successfully interact with key Town departments, employees, vendors, and customers.

Organized and well prepared to stay current on projects and follow up with customers and employees in a timely manner.

Utilize computer and relevant software proficiently.
