Job Description:

Position Summary

Responsible for the management of the full life cycle of activities to implement technology change. Provides leadership, technical direction, and oversight to deliver technology solutions. Consults the business to clearly understand the business problems and needs for technology changes, to then identify creative solutions to resolve these requests or issues. Develops solutions and processes for delivering features based on their knowledge of design/architectural patterns and Agile/DevOps practices. Works as the subject matter expert for the systems they manage and ensure design and requirements are aligned to achieve the desired business outcomes and that team practices and coding/quality principles are aligned to achieve the desired technology outcomes, with adherence to Enterprise Change Management standards. Communicates the solution intent and the associated operating environment, determines the primary systems/subsystems and their interfaces. Ensures the solution is fit for purpose and use by working with stakeholders, vendors/service providers, and evaluating the impact of strategic design decisions. Works across business, technology and operations to create the solution intent and architectural vision and evolves it to an emerging backlog. Utilizes the defined best practices, templates and documentation to create solution designs; suggests improvements to best practices and templates through practical knowledge. Understands and applies technical expertise on partner and external vendor files, file layouts, transmission setup and testing as required. Clarifies the solution architecture for the development teams to support implementation, and provides solution options to resolve any impediments. Educates team members on the technology practices, standardization strategies and best practices to create innovative solutions. Manages risk and ensures appropriate risk escalations occur. Ensures adherence to all Enterprise standards, compliance and policies in effect. Individual contributor to the team.

Required Skills

  • Individual contributor with the ability to execute with limited direction
  • 5+ years in technology industry
  • Experience with credit card technology strongly desired, TSYS experience preferred
  • Ability to identify and engage key stakeholders and facilitate to drive progress and resolution
  • Excel in time management and simultaneously manage multiple yet unrelated events
  • Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality.
  • Ensures solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt.
  • Work with vendor or application areas to ensure successful implementation
  • Write technology specifications including data rules based on business requirements and existing portfolio data.
  • Creates test scripts, conditions accounts and validates output
  • Consistently execute business process governance and process policy deliverables to meet Enterprise Change Management framework
  • Ability to establish and cultivate relationships with business partners both internally and externally
  • Capability to distill complex information from various sources to formulate a strategic plan of execution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including senior management
  • Team player who is comfortable leading cross-functional teams inclusive of business, operations, and technology
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and deliver under pressure

Desired Skills

  • Prefer TSYS or other credit card application experience
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to orchestrate and drive multiple project teams/work streams to meet project deadlines.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft
