NMS is Hiring Remote Line Manager - Chef

NANA Management Services (NMS) is hiring for a management level employment opportunity in North Slope, AK with a rotational schedule. The Remote Line Manager is responsible for the overall performance management of the assigned area and/or camp. Responsibility will include hands-on preparation and oversight of all food service. Additional responsibilities of equal importance are the management of a camp staff; kitchen, housekeeping, janitor/expeditor and maintenance. Procurement, inventory and budget are an integral part in this role.

Qualifications

- High School diploma or GED equivalent, supplemented by formal training, or additional equivalent experience.

- At least five (5) years of supervisory experience in service based, hospitality, food service, housekeeping, hotel, or remote camp environments.

- At least five (5) years of directly related restaurant cooking experience which demonstrates a working knowledge of high volume food production, food service production, food service positions, equipment and supervisory techniques in this field.

- Must have or obtain an Alaska Food Workers Card and/or ServSafe Certification upon hire.

Preferred

- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Culinary Arts or recognized formal certified training program from a National Association preferred.
