The Loan Secretary assists one lending officer servicing a loan portfolio of less than $15M.

Work Schedule is Monday - Friday; Base payrate DOE+ Adjustment

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provides office management and secretarial services for one lending officer.

2. Distributes applications; compiles, prepares, and processes loan file documents for Underwriting approval.

3. Sets up, completes, and maintains loan files for the lending officer; closes and disburses loans; files correspondence and other records.

4. Maintains collateral insurance, lien positions, and UCC filings.

5. Enters information into computer; maintains tracking log; assigns loan numbers.

6. Composes and prepares correspondence.

7. Makes document copies; assists customers with loan and escrow questions; takes messages.

8. Assists with personnel record keeping as needed.

9. Prepares outgoing mail and cost center bill payments.

10. Performs other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum: Two years administrative, financial services or lending-related experience; or combination of education/training and experience. Preferred: Financial services industry experience.

SKILLS and ABILITIES

Ability to keyboard 45 wpm and operate a 10-key calculator by sight required. General office machine, word processing, spreadsheet, and Loan Calc/loan documentation software experience preferred.
