We are recruiting for a Community Manager for our Juneau office.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing direct service delivery. Service delivery responsibilities are based on the needs of the local office. Implement local fund development processes within the parameters of the Statewide Fund Development Plan and in coordination with the Fund Development Team.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, with the following exceptions contingent on a waiver from Big Brothers Big Sisters of America: Associate Degree - staff must also have a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in related fields such as social services or human resources; in the process of completing Bachelor’s degree - staff must be within 6 months of degree completion; no degree at all - staff must have a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience. Experience working with community development. Experience working with both child and adult populations; specific assessment, intake, or interview experience a plus. Must have access to reliable transportation.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Proficiency in Google Drive. Excellent oral and written communication skills reflecting solid customer service, both in-person and via telephone, and high-level interviewing skills. Ability to form and sustain appropriate relationships based on positive youth development and volunteer satisfaction and effectively assess and execute the following relational support skills: guiding, supporting, confronting, advising, and/or negotiating. Experience or knowledge of trauma-informed care. Relate well in diverse environments. Maintain confidentiality throughout daily operations. Collaborate effectively with staff. Use time effectively and focus on details. Work independently. Ability to collect meaningful data and draw solid conclusions.
