Certified Medical Assistant CMA

We are an Anchorage medical clinic looking for a certified medical assistant to join our office. We are looking for someone that is motivated to learn, punctual and works well as a team. The Medical assistant position job duties include, but not limited to:

Detailed documentation in EHR

Updating patient medical records/medications/allergies

Preparing patients/exam room for examination

Assisting the physician during procedures

Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens

Performing basic laboratory tests

Prior Authorizations for medications or medical procedures

Authorizing prescription refills as directed

Performing EKG’s

Performing spirometry testing

Patient call backs

Sterilizing medical instruments with an autoclave

Injections

Front desk help on occasion is also a requirement. This includes:

Answering phones

Making appointments

Taking messages

Taking patient payments

Requirements;

Graduate from an accredited program (degree or certification)

High school diploma or equivalent

HIPAA Training

BLS and CPR training

Phlebotomy experience
