Call Center/Help Desk Tech I (AAK-21-1073-F) Bowhead seeks a IT Help Desk Technician to provide support to our growing IT Department staff. The IT Help Desk Technician will sit in the corporate office and join a team that assists staff located remotely all over the world. Our employees are scattered throughout multiple time zones and have various types of IT equipment that need technical support. The IT Department is responsible for laptops and desktops, hardware and software, servers and networks - and so much more. We are looking for an entry level IT Help Desk Technician who is interested in expanding their skills and knowledge while supporting a robust company. Essential functions will include: • Providing telephone technical support to employees regarding technical aspects of assigned products. • Answering questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization and usage of assigned products. • Applying basic diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes and recommend solutions to correct common failures. • Escalating complex problems to senior level technicians. Requirements • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, however an Associate's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is preferred • Zero to two (0-2) years of experience as an IT Help Desk Specialist is required • A CompTIA A+ Certification, or other related certifications are required • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: There are currently no Security Clearance requirements for this position; however, candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check. Due to the location of this work, US Citizenship is required. Bowhead reserves the right to change this requirement if necessitated by business needs or contractual obligations.
