Veritext has opportunities for experienced Stenographic Reporters as well as a comprehensive program for new Digital Reporters that ensures preparedness in the field whether beginning or continue a career in court reporting. Upon successful completion of our quality development program, qualified Reporters will have the opportunity to work as an independent contractor for Veritext Legal Solutions on remote and/or in-person jobs depending on equipment and skill set.

Essential Responsibilities:

The role of a Court Reporter is to capture and preserve the verbatim record of a deposition, examination under oath, or other court proceeding by performing three main functions:

Create a clear and complete capture if the proceeding through quality audio recording or stenographic method,

Create accurate and detailed annotations of case events and terminology to serve as a guide for the final transcription process; and

Manage the proceedings as an independent arbiter of the record.
