Title: Squadron Officer School, Educational Technology Specialist

Location: Maxwell AFB, Montgomery, ALA P Ventures (APV) Background: Since its inception in 2006, APV has been pioneering creative eLearning solutions. Over the years, APV’s staff has created more than 8,000 hours of online learning for Federal, State, and commercial clients. APV’s innovative products are enabling many clients to provide 24/7/365 custom training and education, with highly interactive content, to a widely distributed workforce. Due to our stellar past performance creating and delivering training solutions, APV has established itself as a highly successful provider of online learning—one that has won many task orders under the multi-billion-dollar, Best-in-Class Human Capital Training Solutions (HCaTS) Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC), overseen by the Office of Personnel Management and General Services Administration (OPM/GSA).This position is full-time, with all work performed in Government facilities on Maxwell AFB. The Government may authorize remote work under certain extreme circumstances such as the COVID-19 crisis; however, remote work is not the daily mode of contractor delivery for this position.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years’ professional experience supporting training projects and programs that use various educational technologies to deliver or enhance the training (e.g., Zoom / MS Teams, augmented and virtual reality, gaming techniques, etc.).
  • Demonstrated understanding of adult learning theory and educational evaluation methods.
  • Comfortable testing new educational technologies and innovations for potential classroom use, then providing instruction to faculty on the use of approved new tech/innovations.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to additional training-related responsibilities in the workplace, including a demonstrated ability to perform various tasks simultaneously and surge as needed.
  • Comfortable loading new software and updates to various types of computers (e.g., laptops, desktops, tablets).

Preferred Experience:
  • Prior Experience working with Air Force education and training programs, especially Air University or the equivalent experience supporting one of the other branches of the military or Department of Homeland Security (e.g., Army, Navy, US Marine Corps, Coast Guard, FEMA, etc.)
  • Prior Experience as part of an e-learning delivery team
  • Experience implementing, administering, and/or maintaining a Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Comfortable loading new software and updates to various types of computers (e.g., laptops, desktops, tablets).
  • Must be self-starter and able to work with minimum supervision

Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree, required; Master’s Degree preferred

Preferred Education:
  • Focus on educational sciences, educational technology, and/or adult learning theory/application.

Preferred Certifications:
  • Educational Technology, Instructional Systems Design, or training related certifications—including military training certifications—are a plus

Other Requirements:
  • Able to pass a criminal background check as part of obtaining a government-issued controlled access card
  • S. Citizen
