Sr BMDS System Integration Engineer (NT-E)

Systems engineers on the National Team are helping to drive the future systems that will protect the United States, its friends and allies for generations to come.The national team has an immediate need for a Senior BMDS System Integration Engineer to perform the following tasks: Report directly to the National Team System Integration Lead The execution of system level integration of the Missile Defense System (MDS), including understanding capability needs and critical system interdependencies at allocated integration points throughout the system engineering development process Support the MDA System Integrator, including both National Team and government engineers, to plan for continued MDS development and adequate testing of new/updated capabilities Comprehend, assess and develop industry engagement(s) to include industry reach back to drive integration issues to closure from system concept through declaration assessments for all technical baseline behaviors, functionalities, capabilities and performance Identify key behaviors and performance parameters, and develop associated plans, to support the MDA’s ability to perform timely integration, execute system tests, and perform system assessment activities Work closely with the Systems Integration Focus Group and present MDA integration deficiencies This Position is located in Huntsville, ALBasic Qualifications:Must obtain an interim SECRET clearance to start Familiarity with large scale System of Systems and DoD weapons systems integration Ability to develop, coordinate, and communicate horizontal and vertical integration plans Ability to perform integration analysis across multiple sub-systems Understand relationship of intended behavior and requirements to test objectives Ability to work with system engineering tools to apply sound systems engineering practices to the development of a system integration plan that thoroughly documents critical system focus areas, interdependencies and technical/schedule disconnectsDesired Skills:The following skills are desirable, but not required for this position.
