The Software Engineer position will be a valuable addition to our team and contribute to SAIC's ground-breaking work with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). They will be part of dynamic and fast-paced development team. The developer will write code encompassing all tiers of the software development process with primary focus on front end and user interface design and development. This position currently requires team members to work in an SAIC or government facility. Job Responsibilities:- Software engineer will design, code, and test simulation software with other members of the development team.
- Work with business representatives to define requirements and develop technical specifications.
- Monitor quality assurance and required up- times of supported systems and their data sources.
- Maintain versioning and implementation of third party products used in the development process.
- Participate in activities accordingly to ensure on time implementation deliverables are met including day-to-day planning and coordination with testers, other developers, project managers and business representatives.
- Bachelors and five (5) years of experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance; Interim Secret is required to begin work. SAIC will process the required interim clearance for the qualified candidate; US Citizenship required.
- Knowledge of: C#, Asynchronous programming methodologies, Unit testing, Scrum/Agile development, Desktop application development on a distributed network, and Object oriented design principles.
- Understanding of WPF attached properties, behaviors, value converters, style hierarchy, templates, triggers, and data triggers.
- Proficiency in XAML with ability to create WPF views without direct use of the XAML designer
- Familiar with Azure Data Services and other cloud computing products.
- Experience with Git based source code control systems
- Experience with .NET Framework
- Experience with .NET Core
- Experience with Modeling and Simulation
- Familiarity with Microsoft TFS/ADS
- Familiarity with GIMP or Photoshop for image analysis
