Financial Analyst

Description We're looking for a Hybrid Financial Analyst with effective communication skills. Candidates who enjoy working as part of a team will be interested in this position. Robert Half is working with a thriving company to find a skilled Financial Analyst. Conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans will be the main responsibilities in this position. Other daily assignments will include advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. Compile and monitor forecasting reports

Work alongside cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to see the proper execution of plans

Recognize potential risks and opportunities while analyzing performance to date

Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives through the development of financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

Work closely with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close processes

Have a thorough understanding of internal and external drivers and be able to explain how they are impacting performance and trending

An ideal candidate should be highly flexible, comfortable with large amounts of information, and adept at managing expectations

Provide valuable foresight and decision support through effective Business Intelligence (BI)

Lead monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required

Keep tabs on monthly and quarterly performance through the comparison of actuals versus expectations, ensuring that business partners handle their resources

Support weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting

Requirements

Skills in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly desired (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

Financial analysis & planning

Spreadsheet and ERP system experience suggested

Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required

Strong problem-solving skills

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Expertise in Trend Analysis

Adeptness in Microsoft Excel

Demonstrated knowledge of Excel Formulas

Solid understanding of Perform Trend Analysis

General familiarity with Power BI

Financial reporting experience highly preferred

Foundational knowledge in variance analysis

Practical knowledge of month end closings

Proficiency in financial analysis

P & L Calculation experience
