Description

We are looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to join our growing team who will drive the vision, direction, and delivery of our products. This position will work closely with key stakeholders, Product team, Development team, PMO team, and other teams across the company to deliver world-class solutions to our customers. You will use your knowledge and experience to help guide our team to implement solutions that will move us forward while continuing to raise the bar, remove any roadblocks to ensure timely completion of projects and implementations, as well as grow your team of developers to advance in their careers.

Responsibilities:

• Manage, coach, and motivate a team of highly qualified and experienced software engineers in Agile/Scrum environment

• Be a key member of the leadership team, defining strategic direction for the development team in alignment with overall company objectives and goals

• Own the software development lifecycle from ideation to delivery

• Ensure that development projects are prioritized, scheduled, adequately resourced, and completed according to business needs

• Work collaboratively and efficiently with key business stakeholders and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment

• Have the experience and confidence to identify and implement improvements to processes and tooling

• Apply industry software development, SaaS, and cloud best practices to deliver software products in highly regulated industries

• Collaborate with Product Owners to plan, track, and deliver on the product roadmap

• Assist the development team with code reviews, hands-on coding, and debugging as needed

• Provide software/system deployment oversight and ensure successful deployment

• Manage and participate in on-call responsibilities

• Work closely with VP, Product Development on resource planning, budgeting, and operational best practices

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years of software development experience

• 3+ years of people management experience, managing engineers

• 5+ years of experience in designing and developing scalable services

• 5+ years of experience in C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL

• Experience taking a lead role in architecting, designing, and building complex critical applications in Microsoft Azure

• Experience in CI/CD best practices
